'Baby Crow' is a short story based on my own experience that explores the relationship between a sleep paralysis demon and its host. Our demons are a reflection of the self, representing one's deepest flaws, anxieties, trauma and insecurities, once neglected and demonised do they begin to fight back. The more you struggle the stronger they become, making our attempts effortless. Only through acceptance and embracement do we start to understand the root of our demon, through feeding them do we familiarise ourselves with it, eventually making it easier to accept them within ourselves, consequently being able to work together with them to develop further. Well I guess it makes sense to me, especially at the time it occurred :/ Had fun drawing this comic, it was a nice calming experience.
