"Ave Maria" is an illustrated diary I made while I was surviving the passing of Hurricane Maria through my island, Puerto Rico. I drew this as a way to cope in the midst of literal darkness. The comic encompasses the daily struggles we had to suffer through each day and how my mind unraveled in the weeks that followed the deadliest natural disaster to hit my home island.
