The mist has always been there, out on the sea… everywhere, really. It slows time to a crawl, makes it faster than light. It takes memory, gifts illusion. It whispers promises... and they say if you brave your way through it to the very end… Well, they say it'll grant you what you desire most. So welcome, everybody, to the end of the world! There's not much left but the fire and the six of us. I was hoping I could tell you all a story to pass the time before everything went under.
