Aster hangs out with her friends Tao and Bram for fun activities all while working under the wing of Mistress Koga at the library that Aster’s parents use to run. But in the background, there resides an emotionless seal that claims victims in it's wake, causing most of the residents of Rowjo to turn into emotionless ghouls. Aster becomes infected meaning she is forced to manage it by keeping the seal at bay and trying her best to find a way to break out of the seal before she turns into a ghoul.
