In a world where humankind has declined and nearly faded into obscurity, a lone human toddler is found alone in River Fale, a bustling trade town. When Rune, the town’s herbalist, takes the child in, she naively expects nothing more than a few sleepless nights and spilled herbs. But after an incident out in the wilds, Rune starts to suspect that there might be more to this child than she first thought— and that the child may be tied to the long-lost relics of the old world.
