Arlo's life turns upside down when a Crim attack claims his family, fueling his quest for vengeance against the vampires. However, his mission is compromised when he himself is transformed into a vampire. In order to conceal his new identity and remain among the humans, Arlo is compelled to obey Zen, the enigmatic vampire who turned him. Arlo grapples with his fading humanity and impossible choices between obedience or risk of exposure.
