Too soon after the Pirate Alliance's victory over the Ivorgarde Royal Navy, the captain of the Scourge crew, Ann Sydney, breaks the early peace by attacking a member of the Buccaneer's Council. From the defunct crew, she keeps one member alive ; Zéhir, a rare Mystic, a being capable of manifesting miracles with nothing but words. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Lebert, a young and ambitious Navy officer, plans on saving his career by joining a risky operation in the heart of the Pirate world.
