A take on vampirs as shapeshifting creatures that are amorphic and nonsolid, but when they drink the blood of a creature they can turn into a version of them. Some of them get almost addicted to the sensation of solidity and as such if they can't get blood from a bank for whatever reason they are known to attack. Or some of them are just jerks.
