The convenience store's closing cash count is twelve won short. The night-shift worker counts it. The next worker arrives, and they count it again together. It is still twelve won short. A note left by the day shift explains what happened, but the reconciliation screen has nowhere to enter it. Neither says they should stop. Neither gets angry. They stay polite, right through to dawn. Nobody says to give up, so they stay until the twelve won balances.
