Boki, die Protagonistin dieser Geschichte, ist aus dieser wirtschaftlich und sozial ausgezehrten Realität geflohen und steht vor einem Neuanfang in Südkorea. Die Erzählung zeigt das wirkliche Leben nordkoreanischer Geflüchteter auf behutsame, indirekte Weise. Der Autor stammt aus Südkorea und lebt in Daegu, nördlich von Busan.

The number of deaths from starvation is way more than the victims of the accident in North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea). The main character of this stroy, Boki, escaped from such economically and socially deprived, is about to start a new life in South Korea. The story shows the real life of North Korean refugees in a roundabout way. Additionally, the writer of this story is from South Korea, he lives in Deagu, located slightly north of Busan.
