Crumly is has some issues with Peregrin that stem from years of anger that Peppertop allowed Peregrin, his brother, to be raised as a prince. The age difference between Peppertop and Peregrin was pretty large as Peregrin is only 17, and has lived with the royal family for about five years. Crumly would have preferred Peregrin being left where they found him.
